A complete restaurant booking has four anchors: day, time, party size, and name. Start with Quiero reservar una mesa, then supply the details in manageable pieces. Para el sábado identifies the day, and a las ocho gives the clock time.
State party size with para plus a number of people: una mesa para cuatro personas. Somos cuatro also works when staff ask ¿Para cuántas personas? This number describes the whole group; it is not the number of tables or meals.
Bookings are commonly stored a nombre de someone. La reserva está a nombre de Nguyen means the booking is under Nguyen. Give the name slowly and offer to spell it if needed, particularly when sound quality or unfamiliar spelling could cause confusion.
Close by repeating all four anchors: Entonces, el sábado a las ocho, para cuatro personas, a nombre de Nguyen. A confirmation is not pointless repetition; it checks that caller and staff have recorded the same booking before the conversation ends.

Common mistake

- Quiero una mesa de seis gente el domingo.
- Try
- Quiero una mesa para seis personas el domingo.
Party size uses para, and personas is the countable plural needed after seis. Gente is grammatically singular and does not combine with a number in this way. El domingo supplies the remaining day detail.
