Sequence Events Without Repeating Entonces
Varied sequence markers clarify order and stage in a narrative. Combine primero, a continuación, mientras tanto, and al final according to simultaneous or successive events.

Sequence markers help listeners locate an event within a process. Primero opens the first stage, a continuación moves to a following step, mientras tanto marks simultaneous activity elsewhere, and al final identifies the closing stage or outcome.
No sustituyas todos los enlaces por entonces. En una preparación, primero ordena el inicio; mientras tanto abre una línea paralela; a continuación recupera la sucesión principal; al final cierra el proceso y muestra qué se consiguió.
Verb aspect still matters. Mientras tanto, Julia comprobaba los datos presents her checking as an activity unfolding alongside another task. A continuación, envió el informe packages the later sending as one completed advance in the sequence.
La puntuación ayuda a segmentar: puedes iniciar una oración con Primero, Después o Al final y separar el marcador con coma. Sin embargo, una lista muy breve también admite Primero revisamos los nombres y después imprimimos las tarjetas.
Choose a marker because it expresses a real relationship, not simply for variety. De repente does not mean next, and por eso expresses consequence rather than chronology. A clear narrative may also leave two successive actions unmarked when order is obvious.

Verb order alone can carry a simple uninterrupted chronology.

Mientras tanto signals overlap and cannot repair a reversed sequence. The correction restores the actual beginning-to-end order and assigns markers whose discourse roles match those two boundaries.
